“You always seem so calm and collected, it’s amazing how chill you are.” Or, how about this one – “You speak so confidently. I love how you put things.”
Is this you? Would you like it to be?
Many of us have hopes and dreams for our future, but they always seem out of reach. Do you know that confidence is one of the top indicators of success?
I have always wanted the confidence to go after my dreams, so I went to work on myself. You see, I believe wholeheartedly in personal growth through intentional living. More than anything, reading my Bible on a daily basis and praying and listening to God has increased my confidence exponentially. It can for you as well.
Webster’s dictionary tells us that “grit” is courage. I say when you take your courage out of the box and use it over and over, you develop confidence which leads to success. But first you have to decide you want success, and then go for it!
To get you started living intentionally, use these 5 noteworthy prayers that will strengthen you and give you grit and confidence. Each one is tied to a Bible verse and written with you in mind.

Here are 5 noteworthy prayers to solidify your grit – the confidence effect with the knowledge of God’s love for you.

1. Prayer from Isaiah 30:18 – Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a god of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Hey God,
Thank You for always showing up for me—even when I mess up, drift off, or honestly forget how much I need You. Your grace keeps finding me, and Your love never runs out, even when I’m not really sure where I stand.
Life pulls me in a million directions, and sometimes I feel lost in what the world says I should be. But deep down, I know I need You. Help me wait well—help me trust that Your timing is better than mine, and that You see the full picture even when I can’t.
When doubt sneaks in or I feel like I’m not enough, remind me of who You are. Remind me that I’m not walking through this life alone. Give me the kind of confidence that doesn’t come from pretending to have it all together, but from resting in Your promises.
You’ve been faithful even when I’ve been flaky. I’ve felt Your quiet strength holding me up when I wasn’t even looking for it. Today, I choose to lean into that truth—like it says in Isaiah 30:18, You’re waiting for me with open arms. So I’m coming back to You.
I’m not perfect, but I’m Yours. And that’s more than enough. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

2. Prayer from 2nd Peter 1:3 – Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Hey God,
Thank You for giving me exactly what I need—strength, purpose, peace—even when I don’t always see it. You’ve already placed everything in me to live fully and boldly, I just forget sometimes.
Your love overwhelms me. I mess up, I doubt, I wander… and You still stay. You keep showing up with grace I don’t deserve. That kind of love? It humbles me and lifts me at the same time.
Help me walk in the confidence that comes from knowing I’m Yours. I don’t have to have it all figured out—I just have to trust the One who does.Thank You for being steady, kind, and so, so faithful. I praise You today… and I’ll keep choosing You tomorrow.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
3. Prayer – Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.
Hey God,
Sometimes fear gets loud. It tells me I’m not enough, not ready, not capable. But deep down, I know that’s not the whole story. So remind me, God—remind me that Your power is in me. I’m not doing this on my own. You’ve chosen me, equipped me, and called me on purpose.
Today, I don’t want fake confidence or pride—I want that quiet, steady boldness that comes from knowing who I am in You. Help me show up with grace, speak with love, and live like I actually believe You’ve got me—because I know You do.I love You, Lord. I don’t always get it right, but I’m so thankful You stay close. I give You all the glory.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

4.Prayer – Acts 1:5 “..For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Hey Jesus,
Thank You for the promise of Your Spirit—it’s wild to think that You actually want to live in me, guide me, and be part of my everyday. I may not fully get it yet, but I want to. I’m opening my hands and my heart to You today, just like You said in Acts 1:5.
I’m not looking for just a moment of peace—I want more. I want Your Spirit to fill me and help me with my thoughts when I overthink, my words when I don’t know what to say, my choices, my next steps… all of it. Help me live like I know You’re right here with me.
This promise reminds me that I’m not alone. You’re real, You’re close, and You’re preparing something eternal. That kind of love? It changes everything. You are so good. So kind. And honestly… so worth everything.
In Your name, Jesus,
Amen.
5. Prayer – Colossians 3:2 – Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Hey Jesus,
When fear tries to hold me back, remind me—I carry the same Spirit that raised You from the dead. That’s not small. That’s not weak. That’s power. So when doubt creeps in, help me hear You reminding me that I was made for this moment. I’ve been chosen, equipped, and empowered by You.
Holy Spirit, help me walk boldly—not with ego, but with courage that comes from leaning fully on You.
I don’t want to shrink back or stay hidden. I want to live big. Brave. Free. Not because I’ve got it all together, but because You’re in me, going before me, walking beside me.
Thank You for filling me with more than I could ever ask for—Your love, Your strength, and Your fire. That changes everything.I give You my heart again today, and I’ll keep showing up with You, one step at a time.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
