Do You Enjoy Wasting time? What Can that Mean for Your Life?
Wasting time can equal a wasted life. If you enjoy having time to yourself, that is one thing. But if you are wasting a lot of time doing stuff that just really does not matter in the big scheme of your life, you could end up wasting your life.
Have you ever heard the idiom “idle hands is the devil’s playground”? Some mental health issues stem from not having a purpose in your life. You’ve been lead to believe that what you do does not matter or does not affect others. It does. 100 percent it does! It matters to those who love you and those you affect.
Does Wasting Time stem from Lack of Motivation or Inspiration?
What motivates you? What inspires you? Let’s spend some time thinking this through. There’s a difference between motivation and inspiration. When you are motivated there are a lot of reasons. It could be that you need to be somewhere, but before you go you must accomplish certain tasks such as getting yourself ready, but it can also mean that someone is relying on you so you hurry to get it done.
You are motivated because there’s a reason to accomplish a task in that moment. This is different from being inspired.
Inspiration comes in many different forms. It could be that you are inspired to accomplish things to show your children what they can do with their life. Or, it could be that you are tired of the home you live in and want something better. You could be inspired because you saw a beautiful car you would love to drive, but don’t have the funds.
There are Many Different Things That Can Inspire You
If you could do or be anywhere in the whole entire world doing whatever it is you love to do, what would it be? Pray and think on this for a while. What’s the one place you’d like to be right this very minute with the one person or persons you love the most? Answer that, and you will have inspiration.
Do you journal? Most of us do not, so if you don’t, find a piece of notebook paper somewhere and begin writing anyway. Here’s what I want you to write. Make it like a movie scene playing out in your head. Begin writing like this.
My Inspired Vision
One year from now I will be…. From there you can write anything you want. Include the sites you see, the smells you are smelling, who you are with, where exactly you are sitting or standing, what the place looks like, and what time of day is it, as well as what are you doing?
It is important to use the language I will be because then you will internalize it. You will believe it. Believing is seeing, and seeing makes it happen.
Wasting Time Can Equal a Wasted Life, BUT…
If you can see it in your mind’s eye, then you will no long be wasting time dreaming it, you will begin to work towards that goal and you will begin moving from point A-where you are now to your vision. A dream is just a dream that probably never happens, but a vision provides you with a roadmap to where you will be.
Wasting time can be a good thing because if all we do is go, go, go, go, go it becomes exhausting so it is necessary; however, if you find yourself wasting time a lot, then it is a problem. Plan your days to work toward your vision.
If money is the issue, and it many times is, then be conscience every single time you spend money. Is it something you really need or want, then fine, but if it is an impulse buy then don’t be sucked in. You see the vision is already at play. You are conscience of the vision so you do not buy that odd thing that you really didn’t want and probably won’t use.
Wasting too much time Leads to Boredom
Boredom can cause all sorts of mental health issues. You will find that the more you waste time, the less you value yourself. The key to a healthy mental state is massive action. Make yourself get out of that chair. Walk around your house or apartment and see things that unfinished. Take stock in this and then do something. Once you accomplish the task, you will feel satisfaction.
Satisfaction will lead to your vision. Have you always wanted to start a business? Or, have you been thinking about changing jobs? Do you want to lead a life you, and your loved ones will be proud of? Then let’s get busy and accomplish it.
First Steps: See the Vision then Take Action
Begin now by writing your vision and do it right now. If you can’t find a piece of notebook paper, then at the very least write it in your notes on your phone, or on your computer, but write it down. Believing is Seeing.
Fortify. Transform. Peace. Take massive action now to fortify your soul. Then, you will transform your life and peace will be your outcome that comes from achieving your vision. Peace and tranquility is your ultimate goal and vision for your life.
Take massive action today, and tell us you I CAN Story in the comments below. We believe in you.
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid, What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:6
